Basurin said first fatal incident involving Corsar system recorded in Ukrainian army

Donetsk, Apr 12 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces lost over 50 troops in the past week, said DPR People’s Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

“Over the past week, the enemy incurred losses of 21 killed and 30 wounded. Of those, 12 died and nine were injured as a result of destruction Ukrainian firing points used to shell our Republic.”

The first fatal accident involving the rupture of a “Corsar” anti-tank missile system has been recorded this week. A missile exploded inside the launcher in the 79th separate air assault brigade outside Vodyanoye, killing one service member. The commander was tasked to depose the “Corsar” systems to warehouses until the root cause of the incident is determined.

Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 100 times this week firing over 280 shells.

The Ukrainian army adopted the “Corsar” anti-tank guided missile in 2017 following the 2013 live firing tests. *ot
