Contact Group endorses recommitment to ceasefire in Donbass in effect from Dec 29

Donetsk, Dec 27 – DAN. The Contact Group has endorsed the Christmas ceasefire in Donbass in effect from December 29, 2018, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.

“Today the Contact Group has re-affirmed its full commitment to an indefinite ceasefire on the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays and announced the silence regime in effect from 1.01 GMT+3 December 29, 2018,” the statement reads.

Yakubov said that the DPR authorities have taken every precaution to facilitate durable ceasefire and safe work of the OSCE SMM.

“The DPR mission to the JCCC shall continue, as always, an enhanced monitoring of ceasefire violations, recording aftermath thereof, monitoring of compliance with all requirements concerning securing the ceasefire.”*ot
