Donetsk Academy of Management says completely new investment environment needed in Donbass

Donetsk, Oct 28 – DAN. Donbass economy requires non-standard solutions, said the chairman of the Donetsk International Investment Forum Organising Committee, rector of Donetsk Academy of Management Larisa Kostrovets said.

“The extreme conditions require non-standard solutions, revolutionary approaches and innovative ideas,” she said. “Donbass should become the territory of extreme economy.”

According to the expert, most simple and efficient financial cooperation models are needed. It is also important to develop new investment policies and to consolidate the efforts of all the actors interested in Donbass economic revival.

She said that finding alternative perspectives in investment policy in the environment where traditional financial instruments are almost unavailable is the key purpose of the Forum.

“We plan to consider opportunities of employing newest financial and information technologies that protect interests and rights of investors and minimize negative effects of political factors.”

Delegations of 17 countries are going to take part in the Donetsk International Investment Forum on October 29-30, the DPR Foreign Ministry said.

The event is taking place in the Shakhtar Plaza.
