Donetsk suggests Russian parliament setting up interfactional group on Donbass



Donetsk, Dec 10 – DAN. Participants in the round table discussion on the results of Donbass-Russia integration and its prospects have adopted a resolution on supporting Donbass.

“The document brings forward a proposal to the State Duma (lower house of the Russian parliament) to consider setting up an interfactional working group on interaction with the Donbass Republics; it would monitor the rights and freedoms of Russian compatriots, coordinate federal and regional executive bodies interaction with the DPR and the LPR and identify the legal norms inhibiting effective Donbass-Russian interaction.

The round table discussion participants asked the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Trade to provide assistance in securing the recognition of documents issued by the Donbass Republics’ Chambers of Commerce and Trade and consider the opportunities for Donbass companies’ participation in exhibitions and fairs across Russia.

Also, they urged Russia’s regional parliaments to sign cooperation agreements with the DPR and LPR parliaments.



The round table discussion participants included DPR Head Denis Pushilini, Russian parliamentarians Andrey Kozenko and Alexander Petrov, DPR Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Pashkov, deputy speakers of the DPR and LPR parliaments Olga Makeyeva and Oleg Koval, DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova, LPR Deputy Foreign Minister Anna Soroka, as well as DPR and LPR officials and Donbass activists.*jk
