Donetsk, Mar 11 – DAN. Donetsk water treatment plant is one of the possible new disengagement areas, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.

“Currently all previously suggested areas are being negotiated, two of the three on our territory provisionally coincide: Oktyabr-Gnutovo checkpoint area, Donetsk water treatment plant – Avdeyevka industrial zone.”

The DFS supplies water to both sides of the contact line: DPR-controlled Donetsk, Yasinovataya, the Vasilyevka and Spartak villages, parts of Makeyevka, and Kiev-controlled Avdeyevka, Krasnogorovka and the Verkhnetoretskoye villages. The overall number of its customers exceeds 400 thousand.

Nevertheless, Ukrainian stance was unproductive and no agreements were reached.

“The Contact Group tasked the security subgroup with working out a compromise on all the previously proposed areas. It should be mentioned that our negotiators tabled alternative options at the previous meeting on February 26, unfortunately they have gone unheeded.” *ot
