DPR accuses Ukrainian army of breaching ‘spring ceasefire’

The Ukrainian criminal army breached the ‘spring ceasefire’ in the Donbass area five minutes after the truce went into force, Head of the mission of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Friday.

«Literally five minutes after the parties’ renewed commitments for observing the comprehensive and indefinite ceasefire entered into force, they were breached by the Ukrainian armed formations,» the Donetsk News Agency quoted Yakubov as saying.

The Ukrainian military «has already opened fire five times against the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, including with the use of banned weapons,» he said.

The new ceasefire agreed by the subgroup on security of the Contact Group on Settling the Conflict in East Ukraine went into force at the midnight of the Kiev time (01:00 a.m. Moscow time) on March 8.
