DPR exports $256 mln worth of industrial products to Europe, Asia in 1st half

Donetsk, Aug 20 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic exported some 19 billion rubles ($256 mln) worth of industrial goods in the first half of 2020, the Republic’s Industry and Trade Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“Over the first half of 2020, DPR industrial companies exported 802,584 tons of goods worth 18,776.8 million rubles,” the Ministry said.

Russia is the DPR’s key trade partner accounting for 90 percent of the Republic’s exports. The DPR also supplied goods to the LPR, Kazakhstan, Poland, Belarus and Latvia.

Metallurgical companies’ products made up 88.5 percent of all exports. There is a demand on the market for products of the DPR’s machine building, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors as well as for construction materials and nonmetallic minerals.

Earlier reports said that the DPR exported more than 10,000 tons of domestically produced dairy products, meat and sausage in the first half of this year.*jk
