DPR gives Kiev time till 16:00 to confirm readiness for Petrovskoye disengagement

Petrovskoye, Oct 10 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic on Thursday gave Ukraine time till 16:00 to confirm its readiness to begin the elimination of violations in the Petrovskoye disengagement area, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said.

“I believe we’ll wait till 16:00; waiting any longer makes no sense,” Yakubov said. “We’ll act in the same manner tomorrow.”

He said that Ukraine had not responded to the second white flare fired by the Republic to signal its readiness to implement the measures in the Petrovskoye area coordinated by the Contact Group.

Earlier reports said that at 14:10, local time (matches Moscow time), DPR militiamen fired the second flare to signal their readiness to begin the elimination of violations in Petrovskoye.

In case Kiev confirms its readiness for disengagement, both conflicting parties have to fire green flares to signal the beginning of the process coordinated by the Contact Group on October 1.*jk
