DPR hands over body of killed marine to Ukraines

Donetsk, May 8 – DAN. DPR has passed the body of a Ukrainian marine, killed during unsuccessful operation of his group, to the Kiev side, the DPR mission to the JCCC said.

“Today at 1.50 p.m., at the Aleksandrovka checkpoint with the participation of the DPR Mission to the JCCC, the body of a soldier who was killed trying to infiltrate the DPR was handed over”.

The DPR Mission provided security at the contact line for the period of the procedure.

Earlier, the DPR defense thwarted an attempt of Ukrainian saboteurs of the 35th marine brigade to infiltrate the Republic. The squad had to retreat leaving an injured marine behind, who later died of wounds despite the efforts of DPR medics. *ot
