DPR Head arrives in Simferopol for 5th Crimea-Russia reunification anniversary events



Donetsk, Mar 14 – DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin has arrived in the Republic of Crimea on a visit, the press service of the head of state reported.

“Denis Pushilin arrived in Simferopol to take part in the events marking the 5th anniversary of Crimea’s reunification with Russia,” the report said.

The DPR delegation includes DPR parliament speaker Vladimir Bidyovka, Donetsk Republic parliamentary faction leader Valery Skorokhodov and other officials.

The events celebrating the 5th anniversary of Crimea-Russia reunification will run on March 15-18. They include rallies, exhibitions, shows etc.



At the All-Crimea Referendum on March 16, 2014, an overwhelming majority of peninsula residents (more than 95 percent) voted for reunification with Russia. On that day, large queues formed at the voting stations. Representatives of 23 countries monitored the voting. Two days later, a historic agreement was signed in Moscow on two new territorial entities – the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol – joining the Russian Federation.*jk*pp
