DPR inspectors report 160,000 labour protection rules violations in 2018

Donetsk, Jan 10 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic State Mining and Technology Supervision Committee (Gortekhnadzor) found nearly 160,000 violations of labour protection rules and industrial safety norms last year, the Committee’s press service reported on Thursday.

“In 2018, Gortekhnadzor reported nearly 160,000 violations; overall, more than 13,700 checks were carried out,” the press service said.

Administrative penalties were imposed on 3,813 employees with the total sum of fines reaching some 2,5 million rubles, it added.

The DPR State Mining and Technology Supervision Committee monitors the protection of labour and natural resources and safe handling of industrial explosives. It currently supervises more than 2,000 economic entities and some 44,000 industrial facilities employing over 590,000 people.*jk
