DPR militia demands restoring order in Ukrainian army units that violate ceasefire

Donetsk, Sep 29 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia has demanded that the Joint Forces Operation command restore order in Ukrainian army units that violate the ceasefire in Donbass.

“We demand that the JFO Headquarters show the will and restore order in subordinate units making sure that the additional ceasefire control measures are observed,” the DPR militia said in a statement.

Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces fired grenade launchers at the frontline Gorlovka settlement on Tuesday morning. Fire was delivered from Ukrainian army positions in the Shumy settlement area.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights. The accords on additional ceasefire control measures considerably eased tensions in the region. The armistice on the contact line was nearly fully observed in the first weeks but in the recent days the number of ceasefire violations has begun to grow again.*jk
