DPR names Ukrainian army unit involved in wounding militiaman



Donetsk, Sep 23 – DAN. Sniper fire at the Dzerzhinskoye village area, in which a Donetsk People’s Republic militiaman was wounded, was delivered from positions of the Ukrainian army’s 36th Separate Marines Brigade, the DPR People’s Republic militia reported on Wednesday.

“Two sniper shots fired at the Dzerzhinskoye village have been recorded since the beginning of the current 24-hours period. Fire was delivered from positions of a 36th Separate Marines brigade battalion in the Vodyanoye village area, in violation of Item 2 of the additional ceasefire control measures,” the report said.

The evidence on shooting was passed to representatives of international organisations and the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office for attaching to the criminal cases against 36th Brigade commander Andrey Gnatov and his subordinates, the DPR militia said.

Sniper fire in the Mineralnoye village area outside Yasinovataya was reported on Tuesday; there were no casualties.*jk
