DPR Parliament approves mirror-like actions if Ukraine sends police in to DMZ areas

Donetsk, Nov 11 – DAN. DPR People’s Council has approved a ruling “On Ensuring DPR Safety in Disengagement Areas” by 88 votes of lawmakers.

“In case Article 8 of the Framework decision dated September 21, 2016 is violated by sending in Ukrainian national police and guard to a disengagement area, DPR police units shall be sent in symmetrically,” the chairman of the security and defense committee Vitaliy Kravets said.

Further disengagement shall be impossible until Ukraine withdraws its forces from Petrovskoye.

Earlier chargé d’affaires of the United States of America to Ukraine, William Taylor, said that as the Ukrainian military pull back, the Ukrainian police and National Guard “move in to provide security” in the area. *ot
