DPR records no shelling since August 19

Donetsk, Aug 21 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations did not open fire on the DPR within the past 24 hours, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

“Over the past 24 hours no violations of ceasefire were recorded,” the report reads.

Nevertheless, Ukrainian side violated the Additional Measures by carrying out engineer works in Verkhnetoretskoye and launching an UAV outside Vodyanoye. An explosion was also reported on the Dzerzhinsk direction.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
