DPR reopens for outdoor public events



Donetsk, Aug 25 – DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin has signed a decree allowing recreation, entertainment, shows, culture and sport events, exhibitions and advertisement as outdoor public events starting Tuesday.

Decree No 292 dated August 25, 2020 was published on the DPR Head’s official website. Sport events gathering up to 50 percent of audience are allowed on the condition that social distancing is observed.

Previously, public events in the DPR were banned with rare exceptions. DPR cinema houses, theatres, museums, concert halls, clubs and libraries resumed operation on July 1 while continuing to meet sanitary norms. Sport clubs, fitness centres etc. reopened as well, and outdoor individual and group training sessions were allowed.

The DPR has been on high alert in connection with the threat of COVID-19 spread since March 14, 2020.*jk
