DPR reports new explosions in Kiev-controlled area next to contact line

Donetsk, Oct 8 – DAN. Three explosions occurred in the Ukrainian-controlled Vodyanoye village area northwest of Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.

The explosions reportedly occurred at 16:45. Ninety minutes earlier, explosions were recorded in the Peski settlement area in the vicinity of Vodyanoye.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicles flights. The accords on additional ceasefire control measures considerably eased tensions in the region. The armistice on the contact line was nearly fully observed in the first weeks but later on the number of violations by Ukrainian forces began to grow again.*jk
