DPR requests Russia to supply COVID-19 vaccine

Donetsk, Oct 15 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has requested the Russian Federation to supply a Russian-made COVID-19 vaccine, DPR Healthcare Minister Alexander Oprischenko said at a press briefing in Donetsk on Thursday.

“We’ve sent an application to Russia and are waiting for approval and possible supplies (of the Russian vaccine against the novel coronavirus – eds Donetsk News Agency),” Oprischenko said. “I cannot be specific on the timeframe.”

Earlier reports said that the Donetsk People’s Republic counted on Russia’s assistance in obtaining a vaccine against COVID-19 and that the latter considered the DPR to be among its first recipients.*jk
