DPR service member killed outside Kominternovo in Ukrainian attack

Donetsk, Aug 9 – DAN. A DPR service members has been killed in a Ukrainian attack on Kominternovo, southern DPR, the People’s Militia press service said.

“Today from 8 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. units of the 36th brigade engaged our positions in the vicinity of Kominternovo with small arms and large caliber machine guns. We regret to inform that a DPR service member has been killed.”

The troop has become the fifth casualty since the ceasefire was announced in Donbass on July 21.

An indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass in the night of July 20-21 as it has been agreed to by the Contact Group in Minsk.

The new ceasefire agreement includes provisions for disciplinary measures against perpetrators, ban on offensive, sabotage and reconnaissance operations, ban on any fire including sniper fire, deployment of heavy weapons to populated areas and, first of all, civilian infrastructural objects such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals and public places. *ot*pp
