Election to Youth Parliament scheduled for Apr 16-24



Donetsk, Apr 3 – DAN. The elections to the DPR Youth Parliament will take place from April 16 to April 24, the chairman of the Temporary Youth Election Committee (TYEC) Konstantin Komlyenok said.

“The TYEC has scheduled the election for April 16-24.”

He said that 54 polling stations will be opened on the premises of high education institutions and the Donetsk Republic social movement offices. DPR residents aged 16-35 are eligible to vote.

The total number of approved applications for membership in the YP is 507.



In January, DPR Head Denis Pushilin announced that the Republic would establish the Youth Parliament. The People’s Council passed a resolution on the Youth Parliament on February 28, and later the Temporary Youth Election Commission was set up.

The Youth Parliament is a permanent public deliberative assembly for interaction between youth and legislative, executive and self-rule bodies in drawing, adopting and implementing the legal acts concerning the rights and legitimate interests of young people. The elections to the Youth Parliament will be held in April. *ot
