Five Ukrainian servicemen detained for looting on Donbass contact line – DPR militia intelligence

Donetsk, Aug 6 – DAN. Five Ukrainian servicemen have been detained by Ukrainian military police on suspicion of stealing civilians’ property on the contact line in Donbass, Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said on Tuesday.

“Military police detained five gunmen of 56th Brigade 23rd Battalion for attempted looting as they were dismantling windows in a summer kitchen in the Pervomaisk settlement in order to install them in their dwelling,” Bezsonov said.

He added that servicemen were unhappy with the living conditions in appropriated civilians’ houses in the conflict zone. “They complain that houses do not meet their minimum requirements with smashed windows and lack of electricity,” the spokesman said. A commission led by Operations and Tactical Group Vostok commander Yuriy Sodol came to the Brigade’s positions to look into the incident.*jk
