Humanitarian group agrees to check POW exchange lists by names



Donetsk, Jun 19 – DAN. The members of the humanitarian subgroup have discussed the POW exchange and search for missing persons during today’s meeting in Minsk, the DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova said.

“The DPR has requested the confirmation of detainees’ whereabouts in Ukraine and information exchange on their judicial status. An understanding was reached on bilateral information exchange and name-by-name harmonization of exchange lists,” she said.

Foreigners transfers have been discussed, as well as judicial clearance and joint efforts in missing persons search.

“The meeting was of a productive nature, which gives hope for further progress on effective decisions within the agenda.”

The Ukrainian side has presented its POW exchange lists today at the humanitarian subgroup meeting in Minsk, the DPR Foreign Ministry said earlier.*ot
