JCCC records four explosions in Ukrainian-held territory outside Donetsk

Donetsk, Oct 8 – DAN. Four explosions occurred in the Ukrainian-controlled Peski settlement area northwest of Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

“At 15:30, four explosions in the Peski settlement area were recorded,” the report said.

Earlier on Thursday, Ukrainian forces used anti-tank missiles for first time since Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire in Donbass came into force.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and  unmanned aerial vehicles flights. The accords on additional ceasefire control measures considerably eased tensions in the region. The armistice on the contact line was nearly fully observed in the first weeks but later on the number of violations by Ukrainian forces began to grow again.*jk
