Kiev army fires 1,260 rounds of ammunition at DPR over week, casualties, damage reported – JCCC



Donetsk, Jul 22 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations had fired more than 1,260 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past week before the ceasefire came into effect; one civilian was killed and more than 20 houses were damaged, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Monday.

“In the period from July 15 to July 21, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 107 times expending 1,262 rounds of ammunition (11.6 tons or 208 boxes),” the report said.

Over the designated period, the enemy shelled DPR areas with 28 152mm and 122mm rounds, 514 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds and 14 tank gun rounds, according to the JCCC. One civilian was killed and 23 houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Earlier reports on Monday said that the Kiev army violated the ceasefire seven times over the past 24 hours firing 24 rounds of ammunition at the DPR territory.



A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on July 21. It was agreed at the the Contact Group talks in Minsk on July 17. *jk*pp
