Kiev derails talks on humanitarian corridors in Donbass

Donetsk, Jun 15 – DAN. Ukraine’s representatives at a video conference of the Contact Group foiled the discussion on the opening of humanitarian corridors at checkpoints between the DPR, LPR and Ukraine, the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

“Kiev once again derailed the discussion on organizing humanitarian corridors through the checkpoints. Hundreds of people who find themselves in a difficult situation and are unable to get home are forced to suffer due to a appallingly destructive Ukrainian position, which prefers unilateral actions of a provocative nature to initiating good will, transparent and substantial negotiations on extremely important humanitarian issues, ” the Ministry said.

Earlier, the DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalya Nikonorova reported that the Ukrainian side agreed to discuss a proposal to open a humanitarian corridor on the contact line after a month and a half.
Checkpoints closed in March following the COVID-19 outbreak. *ot
