Kiev forces desecrate cemetery in Novgorodskoye to construct positions

Donetsk, Aug 10 – DAN. Ukrainian armed forces began to construct new positions close to a Novgorodskoye cemetery outside Dzerzhinsk, said DPR People’s Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

“In violation of previously reached agreements, the enemy carried out engineer works in the vicinity of temporary occupied Novgorodskoye. The fighters of the 35th brigade ignored not only the active ceasefire but also the morals. They are constructing positions at a cemetery.”

The locals filed a complaint with the civil-military administration.

“Nevertheless, Ukrainian command is in no hurry to stop desecrations,” Basurin said.

On the previous day, Ukrainian army carried out engineer works using blasts outside Troitskoye.

The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
