Kiev forces violate ceasefire 18 times over 24 hours, cause outages in five villages – JCCC



Donetsk, Feb 19 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 18 times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 100 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Wednesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire 18 times expending 99 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Volvo Centre and the Zhabichevo and Trudovskaya Colliery settlements (Donetsk axis), the Golmovskiy, Dolomitnoye and (South) Zaitsevo settlements (Gorlovka axis), and the Leninskoye, Kominternovo and Sakhanka villages (Mariupol axis), the JCCC said.

At 02:15 on Wednesday, Ukrainian forces opened fire at the Kominternovo village area in southern DPR. The strike caused power outages in Sakhanka, Leninskoye, Novaya Tavriya, Zaichenko and Kominternovo.

On Tuesday, five houses in the Zaitsevo settlement in northern Gorlovka were damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces.
The enemy used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.



In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire eight times firing some 40 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas.*jk
