Kiev handed over to DPR 8 Russians and one Belorussian

Donetsk, Dec 30 – DAN. Ukraine handed over to the DPR eight Russian nationals and one Belorussian within the framework of the POW swap, said DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova.

“Yesterday Ukraine gave us 61 people including five women, eight Russian nationals and one Belorussian,” she said.

Earlier she said that 80 percent of the detainees liberated by Ukraine as part of the exchange are not DPR residents.

The prisoner exchange took place on December 29 at the Gorlovka/Mayorskoye checkpoint.

The POW swap is one of the key articles of the Minsk Agreements. The commitment to the “all for all” exchange has been reconfirmed at the recent Normandy Four summit by the sides of the conflict. *ot
