Kiev renounces its obligations on establishment of Consultative Council – Nikonorova
Donetsk, Mar 27 – DAN. Kiev has renounced its obligations as it refused to establish the Consultative Council at the video conference of the Contact Group, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.
“The most important part of the protocol concerned the establishment of the Consultative Council comprising all principles, formulated and coordinated in writing by the Republics and Ukraine at the meeting on March 11. At the meeting (on March 26) it turned out that Ukraine renounced its agreements from March 11 and forwarded the issue to the Normandy Four format refusing further negotiations until the decision is taken,” she said.
Ukraine blocked the Contact Group’s work during the video conference on March 26 by refusing to document its obligations in writing. Later the text of the protocol and draft statement were published.
The Contact Group agreed to establish a special mechanism for discussion of political issues on March 11, the preliminary name of the mechanism is the Consultative Council on Donbass issues. *ot
