Kiev’s statements on readiness for prisoner exchange before New Year are manipulation – Morozova

Donetsk, Nov 19 – DAN. Ukraine refused to consider the prisoner exchange issue, which had been put on the agenda of the extraordinary video conference of the humanitarian group on Thursday, Donetsk People’s Republic representative in the Contact Group humanitarian subgroup, DPR ombudswoman Darya Morozova said.

On Wednesday, adviser to the Ukrainian delegation in the Contact Group Alexey Arestovich told Nash Channel that the next prisoner exchange between the DPR and Ukraine might take place by December 25, 2020.

“The extraordinary session of the working group on humanitarian issues has ended. Prisoner exchange between the DPR and Ukraine was never touched upon, although it had been put on the agenda. This fact is another proof that all Ukrainian statements on readiness to exchange prisoners with the DPR in the near future are lies and manipulation,” Morozova said.

The previous prisoner exchange in Donbass took place in April 2020. Donetsk handed over nine people to Kiev and the latter passed ten people to Donetsk.*jk
