More than 100 patients in DPR monitored for COVID-19 symptoms



Donetsk, Mar 27 – DAN. More than 100 people in the DPR have been hospitalized for medical surveillance as they developed symptoms of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health said.

“As of March 27, 9 a.m. no cases of the coronavirus infection have been revealed in the DPR. Overall, 635 patients are being monitored, of those 103 are in hospitals, 532 are self-isolating at home.”

Some of the hospitalized have developed symptoms of acute respiratory viral infection, others have been hospitalized following return from badly affected countries.

DPR has been on high alert since March 14. Border control authorities have introduced 24/7 shifts of experts who monitor travelers for COVID-19 symptoms.



Travelers returning from most affected countries (Ukraine, China, Spain, Italy, Iran, Korea, France and Germany) are required to self-isolate at their homes for 14 days. *ot
