Morozova calls for caution while crossing the contact line due to COVID-19 threat

Donetsk, Jul 6 – DAN. Crossing the line of contact in an unstable epidemiological situation requires caution, said DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova.

Donetsk People’s Republic authorities will re-open the Yelenovka crossing point south of Donetsk for crossing the contact for entry and exit on July 7, the HQ for prevention of the COVID-19 spread said earlier. Travelers entering the Republic are subject to a 14-day quarantine.

“I urge everyone to pay attention to the requirements. The regular work of the border crossing depends on implementation of the procedures. Crossing the line of contact in an unstable epidemiological situation requires caution, and any trips should be planned only if there is an urgent need,” she said.

The DPR suspended the operation of crossing points on the contact line in March to prevent the import of the coronavirus infection. The Yelenovka crossing point reopened for exiting the DPR on June 22 and for entering the DPR on June 25. Its operation was suspended again on June 28.*ot
