No violations of ceasefire, Additional Measures by Ukrainian forces over past 24 hours – JCCC

Donetsk, Sep 17 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have observed the ceasefire over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.

“No violations by Ukrainian armed formations of the ceasefire or the Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire have been recorded over the past 24 hours,” the report said.

In the previous reporting period, Kiev forces did not fire at the DPR, however, they opened unaimed fire in the contact line area in violation of the additional ceasefire control measures.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures came into force in Donbass on July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of hardware, special operations, engineer works and flights of unmanned aerial vehicles, and envisions punishment of violators. On Wednesday, Ukraine disavowed the additional ceasefire control measures by rejecting the coordination mechanism for responding to violations which was agreed on July 22 as part of tighter ceasefire control measures.*jk
