Over 120 people from Ukraine-held territory enter DPR on Nov 9 – Emergencies Ministry



Donetsk, Nov 10 – DAN. More than 120 people from Ukraine-held areas entered the Donetsk People’s Republic via the humanitarian corridor on the contact line in Yelenovka on November 9, the DPR Emergencies Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.

“Twenty-four vehicles and 121 people entered the DPR on November 9; eight cars and 44 people went to Ukraine,” the report said.

The Novotroitskoye-Yelenovka crossing point reopened for two-way passenger traffic on Monday.

There are four crossing point on the contact line between the DPR and Ukraine-held territory: Gorlovka-Mayorskoye, Yelenovka-Novotroitskoye, Alexandrovka-Maryinka and Oktyabr-Gnutovo. The crossing points suspended operation in March because of the threat of  COVID-19 spread. Later on, a decision was made to open a humanitarian corridor through  the Yelevovka-Novotroitskoye crossing point twice a week, on Monday and Friday.*jk
