Pushilin reminds Kiev of failure to impose its terms on Donbass

Donetsk, Sep 30 – DAN. Direct dialog with Donbass is the only option for Ukraine to bring peace back, the DPR Head Denis Pushilin said commenting on the statement published on President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky’s website.

The statement claimed that Kiev delegation to the Minsk talk primarily aims at “regaining all temporary occupied territory on Ukrainian terms”.

“Which territory are they talking about? If they mean Donbass Republics, then who occupied them? Did the natives of Donetsk, Makeyevka, Shakhtersk and Novoazovsk do it? They have been living there for entire life and did not abandon their land even after the conflict broke out. Apparently, someone’s tour schedule was jampacked in 2014 for him to follow the events.”

Donbass people have no intention to submit to Ukrainian terms, as they proved in Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo, he reminded.

Pushing underscored that the Minsk talks are the only way to restore peace. “It is impossible without a transparent, direct and effective dialog.”*ot
