Russia lifts travel ban for DPR and LPR residents



Donetsk, Mar 23 – DAN. Russian government has lifted travel ban for DPR and LPR residents, the document released today says.

“Due to the economic and transport blockade imposed by Ukraine on certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, guided by the principles of humanity, provisions of paragraph 1 (on the decree to introduce travel ban) are not applied to the citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons who are permanently residing in the certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.”

Registration in the DPR or LPR in a Ukrainian or Republican passport is required to enter Russia.

The Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) is tasked with organizing sanitary control at the border crossing points.*ot
