Russian Investigative Committee launches 6 criminal cases following DPR shelling incidents
Donetsk, Oct 9 – DAN. Russian Investigative Committee has launched six criminal investigations into DPR shelling incidents, a statement published on its website says.
Kiev forces shelled civilian infrastructure in Donetsk, Gorlovka, Kominternovo from September 19 to October 3, injuring five civilians.
“Ukrainian troops keep ignoring earlier agreements on ceasefire … Following the abovementioned facts the Investigative Committee of Russia, Main Investigation Department, has launched six criminal investigations.”
The investigations are opened under Art.356 p.1 Russian Criminal Code (Cruel treatment of prisoners of war or civilians, deportation of civilian populations, plunder of national property in occupied territories, and use in a military conflict of means and methods of warfare, banned by an international treaty of the Russian Federation; shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of up to 20 years).
Russian Investigative Committee has also documented earlier unknown facts of DPR and LPR shelling by Ukrainian forces that took place from March to September 2019. *ot
