Donetsk, May 12 – DAN. A resident of the Staromikhailovka settlement in western Donetsk suffered burns in a fire caused by a Ukrainian army strike, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia press service reported on Tuesday.

“Today, gunmen from the Ukrainian army’s 28th Separate Mechanised Brigade fired infantry fighting vehicle cannons and 82mm mortars at Staromikhailovka,” the press service said. “As a result of the strike, the house at 18 Shevchenko Street caught fire.”

The 52-year-old house owner suffered burns on the hands and legs as she was trying to put out the fire, the report said.

DPR militiamen who were the first to arrive to the scene, joined the firefight and provided first aid to the woman.

Emergency services were unable to immediately arrive at the scene because of ongoing shelling.*jk
