Terrorism cases filed against Kiev army brigade commanders Gnatov, Garaz – DPR prosecutors



Donetsk, Aug 27 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Prosecutor General’s Office filed two criminal cases against the Ukrainian commanders complicit in the shelling of the Republic’s territory on August 15 and August 22, the PGO press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“The PGO Investigation Department opened two criminal cases against Ukrainian brigade commanders over the shelling of Gorlovka and the Novoazovskiy district earlier this month. Commanders Garaz and Gnatov are accused of committing acts of terror,” the press service said.

On August 15 and August 18, 36th Separate Marines Brigade servicemen were ordered by Brigade commander Andrey Gnatov to shell the Kominternovo and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR. Several utility structures were damaged in the strike. On August 18 and August 22, 30th Mechanised Brigade commander Ivan Garaz ordered servicemen to deliver a strike at Gorlovka’s Nikitovskiy district; as a result, three houses and two sheds were damaged.

On these days, Ukrainian forces shelled DPR settlements with mortars and small arms, the PGO said.*jk
