Turkish business ready to invest in DPR construction, rebuilding



Donetsk, Oct 29 – DAN. Turkish business is ready to invest in the construction and rebuilding of houses and social infrastructure facilities in the Donetsk People’s Republic, director general of the Turkish construction company Enisler A.Ş. Durmus Battal said at the Donetsk Investment Forum on Tuesday.

“Today, I saw war-damaged houses on the way here. At this stage, we’re ready to sign a treaty on supplying equipment, construction materials etc. to build roads, hospitals, schools and houses,” Battal said, adding that “we are ready to invest.”

For his part, Kocaman Hafriyat Insaat Director General Metin Kocaman noted the importance of such events as the current forum for Donbass. “This forum is setting an interaction formula between Turkey and the DPR in developing agriculture, heavy and light industry, construction and tourism,” he said.

Earlier reports said that the DPR Head had opened an international investment forum in Donetsk which brought together some 250 delegates from 17 countries including Russia, the United States, Syria, France, Turkey, Iran, Egypt and Abkhazia.  The forum will run from October 29 to October 30.*jk
