Ukraine refuses “10 for 8” prisoner exchange – Morozova

Donetsk, Mar 27 – DAN. Ukraine refused the “10 for 8” detainees exchange at the recent videoconference, said DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova.

“DPR insists on the soonest exchange possible due to the challenging epidemiologic situation around the world. For this reason, we proposed at the video conference of the Contact Group on March 26 to exchange detainees on the “10 for 8″ formula, but the Ukrainian side categorically rejected it.”

Morozova said that Kiev “seemed to deliberately sabotage any activities aimed at preparations of the next exchanges”. It doesn’t bring peace closer.

DPR still insists on the exchange despite the fact that Kiev has not fulfilled the legal clearance of the detainees liberated on December 29, 2019. *ot
