Donetsk, Apr 22 – DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic intelligence has recorded the arrival of Ukraine’s “Azov” nationalistic group gunmen in the Maryinka settlement area, DPR People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Monday.

“Nayev (Sergey Nayev, commander of the “joint forces operation – eds Donetsk News Agency) is planning a new provocation on the contact line,” Basurin said.  “A unit of the “Azov” nationalistic regiment arrived in the Maryinka area.”

He reminded that after the deployment of “Aidar” formation nationalists to Gorlovka, the intensity of strikes in the area increased noticeably.

The same scenario is possible in the Maryinka area; however, the DPR People’s Militia is ready for any developments, Basurin said.

“An analysis of our information leads to the conclusion that the Ukrainian armed formations command intends to destabilise the situation on the contact line west of Donetsk,” he said.

The DPR Supreme Court listed “Azov” as a terrorist organisation and banned its activity in the Repubic’s territory. The group is complicit in numerous strikes at the DPR and terrorist attacks against Donbass population.*jk
