Ukrainian army shells neighbourhoods in Donetsk, Gorlovka over 24 hours – JCCC



Donetsk, Jul 25 – DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire three times over the past 24 hours shelling Donetsk and Gorlovka, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire three times expending two rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

Fire was delivered at the Trudovskaya Colliery neighbourhood in western Donetsk and the Dolomitnoye and Gagarin Colliery neighbourhoods in Gorlovka. The enemy used grenade launchers and small arms, the JCCC added.

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.



A new comprehensive, lasting and indefinite ceasefire came into force in Donbass at 00:01 on July 21. It was agreed at the the Contact Group talks in Minsk on July 17.

The accords provide for punishment of ceasefire violators and prohibit offensives, reconnaissance and subversive operations, strikes with any weapons, including sniper fire, and the deployment of heavy weapons in or close to residential areas, in particular on the premises of civil infrastructure facilities such as schools, kindergartens or hospitals.*jk
