Ukrainian army units fire some 40 rounds at DPR over 24 hours – JCCC



Donetsk, Jul 9 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire six times over the past 24 hours firing nearly 40 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory,  the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire six times expending 39 rounds of ammunition,” the report said. “The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms.”

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

Strikes were delivered at the areas of the Volvo Centre, the Alexandrovka settlement and the Yakovlevka and Spartak villages on the Donetsk axis, the JCCC said.

No civilian casualties or damage to civil infrastructure have been recorded since Wednesday.



In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces fired 20 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas in six ceasefire violations.*jk
