Ukrainian delegation in Minsk presents POW exchange lists

Donetsk, Jun 19 – DAN.  The Ukrainian side has presented its POW exchange lists today at the humanitarian subgroup meeting in Minsk, the DPR Foreign Ministry said.

“At the previous meeting the subgroup agreed to continue work on the previously established tracks. Today the Ukrainian side has presented lists of POW for the detainee exchange. There is a lot of work to be done on those lists.”

The DPR representative at the talks Natalia Nikonorova said that the Republic is ready to carry out an “all for all exchange”.

The Article 6 of the Minsk Agreements dated February 12, 2015 provides for the exchange of all detainees. However, as the conflict and detentions continued ever since, the Republics suggested an amended approach of an “all confirmed for all confirmed” detainees swap.

The latest exchange took place in late 2017.

Today all the four groups are expected to hold talks in Minsk, and the Contact Group is to sum up the meetings. *ot
