Ukrainian forces expend five tons of ammunition over week firing at DPR – Yakubov



Donetsk, Apr 1 – DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 87 times over the past week firing more than 700 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic areas, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Monday.

“In the period from March 25 to March 31, 87 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian armed formations were recorded,” Yakubov said. “Overall, they expended 735 rounds of ammunition (4.9 tons or 98 boxes) firing at the DPR.”

Over the designated period, the enemy fired 229 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds and four tank gun rounds at the Republic. Two civilians were wounded and nine houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces, he added.

Earlier reports on Monday said that Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire ten times over the past 24 hours.*jk
