Ukrainian forces fire mortars at Donetsk airport as Contact Group meets for talks

Donetsk, Oct 15 – DAN. The Kiev army delivered a massive mortar strike at northern Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.

“The Donetsk airport area and the Spartak and Zhabichevo neighbourhoods in the vicinity came under fire. More than 50 82mm mortar rounds were fired at these settlements in less than 30 minutes.

Fire was delivered from the Kiev-controlled  Peski and Opytnoye settlements, the JCCC said.

A new round of Donbass peace talks is currently underway in the Belurussian capital Minsk. The Contact Group has begun a meeting.*jk
