Ukrainian forces fire on Vasilyevka pumping station on eve of International Women’s Day



Donetsk, Mar 7 – DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire at the Vasilyevka pumping station outside Yasinovataya on Thursday evening; the personnel hid in a shelter, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination said.

“At 17:00, Ukrainian armed formation fired at Vasilyevka with 120mm mortars,” the JCCC. “The Vasilyevka pumping station area came under fire. Mortar rounds are exploding in immediate proximity to the station’s machinery hall; the personnel are in the shelter.”

The DPR Office at the JCCC asked Kiev to provide additional security guarantees for establishing a stable ceasefire.

Earlier reports on Thursday said that Ukrainian army units shelled the Dolomitnoye township north of Gorlovka; one house burnt down and another two were damaged.*jk
