Ukrainian forces mine road next to Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka security area – DPR militia

Donetsk, Nov 27 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations planted anti-tank mines across the road between the Bogdanovka and Viktorovka villages south of Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia press service reported on Wednesday.

“The enemy continues to mount tensions in the Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka security zone; we recorded strikes by Ukrainian forces near Petrovskoye at the time of area monitoring by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, and the planting of TM-62M anti-tank mines across the road between Bogdanovka and Viktorovka which is used by SMM personnel,” the report said.

The DPR intelligence reported heavy Ukrainian army armaments in the residential areas of Yablonovka and Kalinovoye outside Konstantinovka, and in  Kasyanovka, Khlebodarovka and Novoalekseyevka (on the southern stretch of the frontline). In the above areas, 29 tanks, a Strela-10 anti-aircraft system, three 2C1 self-propelled howitzers “Gvozdika” and four D-20 towed howitzers were spotted.

To conceal the deployment of hardware in residential areas, Ukrainian army 20th Battalion has been actively using the Bukovel-AD radio electronic warfare systems against OSCE SMM drones in the Stepanovka and Bogdanovka areas, the DPR militia said.

The Petrovskoye village is located on the contact line some 40 kilometres south of Donetsk. Bogdanovka-Petrovskoye is one of the three pilot disengagement areas in Donbass, in accordance with the Framework Agreement signed by the Contact Group participants.  The conflicting parties disengaged back in October 2016, but later on, Ukrainian troops returned to their positions. It was only on November 11, 2019 that the sides fully withdrew their units.*jk
