Ukrainian forces shell Donetsk outskirts eight times over 24 hours, expend 175 rounds – JCCC



Donetsk, Dec 20 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire eight times over the past 24 hours firing 175 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory,  the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Friday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire eight times expending 175 rounds of ammunition,” the report said.

Strikes were delivered at the Volvo Centre area in the outskirts of the DPR capital, the Mikhailovka, Spartak and Vesyoloye villages, the Zhabichevo and Krutaya Balka settlements and the Yasinovataya town.

The enemy used 82mm and 120mm mortars, infantry fighting vehicle cannons, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

On Thursday evening, Ukrainian forces delivered mortar strikes at the Spartak village north of Donetsk and the Mikhailovka village north of Yasinovataya. The Donetsk Water Treatment Plant area came under fire as well.



In the previous reporting period, Kiev forces shelled DPR areas six times expending more than 90 rounds of ammunition.*jk
